Here at The Studio Cheltenham we love our clients, and we have big ideas for them! We strive to provide more than the regular fitness class experience, so here you’ll see what special events we’re running and how to get involved.

Strength and Yoga Day Retreat with Fontaine & Jay

Start your year strong with a wholesome day of strength training, a nourishing yoga session, delicious food and immersive workshops.

Join us on Sunday 18th January 2026 for Strength & Yoga Day Retreat - a full day of movement, nourishment and a deep reset ready for the year ahead. This day retreat is designed for all levels, whether you’re brand new to strength training and yoga or a seasoned pro at either. You’ll be guided safely, supported fully, and encouraged to go at a pace that feels good for your body on the day.

We’ll begin the day with fresh juice, grounding breath work, gentle stretches, and intention setting before moving into an energising Strength & Conditioning session with Fontaine. After a delicious two-course lunch, we’ll then explore how you can tap into an athlete mindset, setting goals, and understanding what strength truly means to you through an interactive workshop.

The afternoon gently softens into Yin yoga, guided meditation, and space to pause and reflect with Jay. To close the day, you will experience a deeply restorative sound bath helping your mind and body to relax and recover. 

We hope you leave feeling empowered and reconnect to your inner strength, with clarity of what 2026 can look like for you.

What Your Day Looks Like

Arrive from 9.30am and ease into your morning with a welcoming fresh juice or herbal tea. We’ll begin your day with some intention setting, allowing you to settle into the space and ground yourself. 

To get you ready for a morning of movement, Jay will guide you through a full body flow, mobilising and activating your mind and body connection. Fontaine will then lead an energising strength and conditioning session designed for all levels. Bringing together core focused and controlled full body movements through dynamic programming, the aim is for you to finish feeling stronger, more empowered and ready for lunch! 

After a nourishing two-course lunch prepared by The Frogmill, we’ll dive into an interactive workshop centred around mindset, goals for 2026, or what strength truly means to you.

The afternoon softens into a soothing Yin yoga and a guided visualisation, with a few thoughtful surprises woven throughout to support you as you prepare for the year ahead. 

We’ll close your day with a deeply relaxing sound bath, helping you to step into the year feeling stronger, more connected and inspired.

Departure will be between 4.30pm and 5pm, stay for a little chat or head straight home.

The Details

When: Sunday 18th January 2026, from 9.30am - 4.30pm

Early bird: £150 per person / £260 for two
Thereafter: £185 per person

A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your space. The remaining balance is due by 3rd January 2026.

A Little About Us

Fontaine & Jay both love movement, from strong sweaty classes to dreamy yoga flows, you can find them in both settings! They truly believe you can reap the benefits from both and so your Strength & Yoga Day Retreat was born!

  • Founder of The Studio Cheltenham

    Fontaine is a former England number 1 and team GB professional badminton player, now owner of The Studio Cheltenham, a strength and dynamic reformer Pilates studio.

    Fontaine has been a qualified PT for almost a decade and loves to teach high energy, confidence boosting classes. She brings her experience and knowledge of strength training to all her clients, no matter their level.

    After training in dynamic reformer Pilates in 2019, Fontaine now uses the principles of Pilates to enhance her core focused and strength building sessions even when there’s no reformer in sight!

  • Founder of The Yoga Glow

    Jay brings over ten years of teaching experience to this day retreat and has led transformative retreats both across the UK and abroad.

    Known for her uplifting yet grounding approach, she blends Yoga, guided meditation, breathwork, and intentional reflection to help you feel calm and connected.

    Based in Cheltenham, Jay specialises in practices that help you create real, lasting shifts in how you feel.

    Expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful guidance, and practices that leave you feeling centred and inspired, ready to step into the year grounded and aligned.

This Day Retreat is for anyone and everyone, no matter your fitness level or yoga experience. Whether you’re new to strength training or yoga, or whether you love to throw weights around and already have an established practice.. with us, you’ll find space to move, rest, and grow at your own pace. With adaptable movements and modifications for injuries, you’ll be able to move at a level that feels best for you on the day.

It’s also about connection — meeting like-minded people, sharing delicious, nourishing food, and creating new experiences together.

Expect inspiration, laughter, and a supportive environment where you can relax and step into the year ahead feeling stronger and more refreshed.

  1. You’ll receive a confirmation email followed by a second email with instructions for the remaining balance via bank transfer, which payable by 3rd January 2026.

  2. Nearer the time, we’ll send your retreat guide with what to bring, a health questionnaire, and a chance to pre-order your lunch.

  • Absolutely!

    Many people arrive independently but leave having made meaningful connections and new friendships.

    This retreat is about connection, so you’ll feel welcome whether you join solo or with friends.

  • This retreat is designed for all levels.

    If you’ve attended Jay’s classes before, you’ll know she always provides options so everyone can feel supported. For those new to yoga or seeking a gentler approach, you’ll be guided safely and encouraged to move at your own pace. If you’re looking to deepen your practice, you’ll also find opportunities to be challenged in a safe and supportive environment.

    Fontaine’s strength and conditioning sessions are also fully accessible for beginners. She will provide modifications and guidance so you can work at a level that suits you while still feeling energised and empowered to take the next level when necessary.

    Everyone leaves feeling strong, confident, and supported, no matter their experience.

  • No problem!

    Both Jay and Fontaine are experienced enough to provide options and modifications for all levels and abilities.

    You’ll be guided safely, and you can choose the pace and intensity that works best for your body.

    Please let us know about any injuries or concerns when you book so we can support you fully.

  • Yes!

    The Frogmill will provide a nourishing two-course lunch, and all dietary requirements are carefully catered for.

    You’ll have the chance to pre-order your meal from a set menu to ensure your preferences are met.

  • We are both running small businesses and so we unfortunately wont be offering refunds. Your deposit is non-refundable and non-transferrable.

    If for any reason you cannot attend the day and need to cancel, please email as soon as possible and we will do our best to fill your place so that we can refund any payments already made (excluding deposit).

    This may not always be possible however and if your place cannot be filled, the following cancellation fees will apply:

    • 4 weeks before the retreat start date: 50% of the retreat price minus deposit (deposit non refundable)

    • 4 weeks or less before the retreat start date: 100% of the retreat price.
